As a Colombian American, an Eagle Scout, and an MBA candidate at Harvard Business School, I have been shaped by a strong sense of community, service, and personal responsibility. I earned my degree in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University, and my professional journey has taken me across healthcare, technology, financial services, and public service. Most recently, my work has focused on helping patients overcome barriers to accessing life-saving and life-changing therapies.

Throughout these experiences, I have tried to remain grounded in the values of the Scout Law and in the lessons shared with me during my childhood. My Scoutmaster encouraged me to “Make a better version of yourself every day.” My dad often reminded me that “Some people make things happen, some watch things happen, while others wonder what happened.” My cousin offered another principle that continues to guide me: “La vida es para el que se avispa”—a reminder to remain alert to opportunity, take initiative, and make the most of the life I have been given.

Together, these lessons inspire me to act with integrity, step beyond my comfort zone, continue learning, and use my experiences and opportunities to serve the communities around me.
